Tauberbischofsheim is a German town in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg on the river Tauber with a population of about 13,000
This is a beautiful part of Germany and is famous the world over for it’s fencing centre which has produced many Olympic and World Champions. The fencing center is purpose built for fencing with 40 metallic pistes in the floor and electronic scoring boxes on the walls.
Tauber is home to many of the Germany National squad, some of which will be back training after their summer break.
Space will not be a problem with a total of 4 fencing halls and a large sports hall we will use for warm ups and other non-fencing activities.
The center boasts a fully equipped gym with, free weights, resistance machines and CV machines. Also available is a swimming pool and saunas so bring your trunks! In the center grounds there is a football pitch and running track or you can follow the river out of Tauber if you fancy a longer run, cycle ride or walk in the sunshine.
A fully equipped armory for weapon repairs is located in the centre and an Allstar shop can be found on site as well as the Tauber 'fans' sports shop for any extra training kit or souvenirs. We will arrange for both shops to be opened during the week.
The center has free wireless Internet access as well as computers in the athlete’s lounge, which comes with comfortable sofa’s, a large TV and DVD player, table football and a selection of German books!
