Jon I first went to the Haverstock Training Camp ranked 26th in the UK.
I believe that the experience & knowledge gained from the camp helped me enormously. Three months later I was ranked in the UK top 10 where I stayed until retirement from competitive fencing. The HTC helped me develop as a fencer and as a person, something I hope that, as organiser, will continue to be the case for young fencers attending the camp.

Haverstock Training Camp 2013 Terms & Conditions - Under 18

The statement of age is correct as of the date 18/08/2013.

My deposit of £150 is non-refundable.

I will have my own travel insurance for the trip.

I will have a current EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) - applicable to UK Citizens only.

I will ensure the balance of the HTC cost is paid by the dates requested and understand that if I do not so then, in the sole discretion of the Trip Leader, I may forfeit my place and my deposit.

Behave at all times.

Be at training sessions ready and prepared in all respects to train at the appointed time. If opting not to take part in a particular training session inform the trip leader or member of staff before hand.

Work to the best of my ability

Be in and remain in my own room by the time stated by the trip leader or member of staff and be considerate of others I am sharing a room with either at the training centre or the hotel

Notify the Trip Leader in writing of any injury or illness that occurs between signing the medical form and the start of the Camp.

Notify the Trip Leader or other member of staff immediately of any illness or injury that occurs at any time during the event.

Respect the facilities, property and staff of the training centre and am aware of the goodwill extended by the TBB Club that has made the Haverstock Training Camp possible.

Notify the Trip Leader or other member of staff immediately of any damage caused to property belonging to someone else.

Treat everyone else at the event with respect and consideration at all times.

Possess or consume alcohol.

Possess or consume illegal or performance-enhancing drugs, or smoke.

Engage in sexual activity.

Use foul language.

Tolerate or be involved in discrimination of any kind.

Leave the Training Centre without the express permission of the Trip Leader or other member of staff.

Enter another athlete’s room without permission from the occupier of that room

Disturb or upset another athlete by my behaviour or actions.

In the event of a breach of the above term and conditions, the Trip Leader reserves the right to suspend the fencer from taking part in the training camp and in extreme circumstances will send participants home at their own expense.

Disturb or upset another athlete by deliberate or unreasonable behaviour or actions.
